Dehradun :Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh reviewed the preparations being made for the visit of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi to Dehradun. A public Yoga display will be organized on the occasion of International Yoga Day in the gracious presence of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. The Chief Secretary reviewed the preparations at a meeting held with departmental secretaries, heads of the departments at secretariat on Tuesday.

Chief Secretary said that nobody will be allowed to enter FRI campus without a pass. He said that people should get themselves registered offline or online so that they can get pass on time. He examined the arrangements of electricity, water, road, cleanliness, toilets, parking and lighting for the event. He asked all the departments to make foolproof arrangements.

Secretary Ayush R.K. Sudhanshu informed that 16 parking places has been earmarked outside the programme venue. He said that at the parking lots, 50 toilets of 10 units, 40 tankers of 3000litres have been arranged. The Nagar Nigam, Dehradun has started the cleanliness work.  Signage’s at the entry point, exit points and of public conveniences have been put up at various places.

Besides deploying 25 ambulances, a medical posts are also been established. More than 1000 buses have been arranged for Dehradun ,Haridwar and Rishikesh and a route chart has been prepared as per the demand. It was decided in the meeting that on June 18 rehearsal will be held with group leaders and nodals and full rehearsal will be done on June 19. A layout plan of the programme venue was presented in the meeting. The venue has been divided into sector and blocks.

Efforts will be made that participants from one institutions are put in one block. The group leader and deputy group leader will be responsible for the supervision of the participants. Digital LEDs will be installed at the programme venue and CCTV cameras will be installed at all entry points.

The Chief Secretary held separate meeting with different yoga institutions. Bharat Swabhiman Trust, Art of Living, Shantikunj, Prajapita Brahamakumaris, Parmarath Niketan, Bharatiya Yoga Sansthan, Gurukul Kangri, Lions Club, Ayurveda University, International Naturopathy organization and representatives of other organizations were informed about transport and other arrangements. They were also briefed in detail about registration.

DGP Anil Raturi, Director ITDA Amit Sinha, DM Dehradun SA Murugeshan, SSP Nivedita Kukreti, Joint Secretary, Ayush Ministry of Government of India Ranjit Kumar, Deputy Secretary Vasav Reddy and other officials were present.
