Rudraprayag: District Magistrate Mangesh Ghildiyal presided over the May month’s meeting with revenue and administrative officials at district office auditorium on Tuesday. He sought an explanation from assistant commissioner, state tax who was found absent in the meeting. During meeting, DM expressed satisfaction over redressal of revenue court cases on time and said that no cases of 143 are pending in the district.


DM has initiated several measures to improve administration as well as redressal and effective monitoring of complaints registered during public hearing being held on each Monday. Clerk/readers have been directed to attend the meeting of public hearing if SDMs concerned are absent. Tehsildars have been directed to complete online entry of cases of revenue court in revenue department’s software.


DM has directed police department officers to provide report on cases of drunken driving each month at DM office. Transport, police and revenue department officers have been directed to conduct joint checking drive to check road accident and enforcement of traffic rules. Villagers should be made aware about how they can protect themselves from online frauds.


To find out the details about dues in revenue department, reports on revenue collection against release of RC, matching of bank’s demand with RC should be done. DM has directed the officers of various departments linked with Incident Response System (IRS) to be alert during monsoon season. All the disaster related equipment at tehsil level should be examined, equipment to be repaired or replaced and such detailed report to be submitted to the DM office.


District food and civil supply officer has been directed to make an arrangement of three month’s pubic distribution system. Around 100 gas cylinders should be kept reserve, while petrol pump operators have been asked to keep reserve of one thousand litres petrol and three thousand litres diesel.


Ration for relief camp should be kept reserve along with tender rate for tent, bed and utensils and others should be fixed so that it would be used in case of disaster. Areas under Municipal Corporation and Nagar Panchayats facing problem of water logging should be identified and an arrangement of proper drainage system should be made apart from taking other safety measures in these areas.


District panchayat has been directed to not to release license for opening shops on yatra routes without seeking geologists report. On the occasion, Tehsildar Rudraprayag Kshreshtha Gunsola, Tehsildar Jakholi Shalini Maurya, Tehsildar Ukhimath Jaiveer Ram Baghani and other revenue department officials were present.
