All the new Nintendo Switch games REVEALED in full

Nintendo Switch owners will be getting some great new games in 2018 that were revealed today in a surprise Nintendo Direct.The heavily rumoured Nintendo Direct 2018 presentation went live on Thursday without warning at 2pm GMT.

A host of brand new games were revealed including Mario Tennis Aces, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Dark Souls Remastered.Here are all the big Nintendo Switch games announcements during the Nintendo Direct 2018:

Dark Souls will be coming to a Nintendo console for the first time, with the Nintendo Switch getting Dark Souls Remastered.The new version of the classic PS3 and Xbox 360 game will be heading to the Nintendo Switch on May 25 2018.The teaser trailer simply gave a glimpse of the Dark Souls’ iconic bonfire resting point, with the hero standing next to it.

Nintendo Switch will be getting its first Mario sports game, with Mario Tennis Aces heading to the console this spring.The trailer showed Mario, Luigi and Wario all taking to the courts and sporting classy tennis garbs.And the latest Mario tennis game will – for the first time since the Game Boy Advance edition – feature a story mode.Super Mario Odyssey will be getting a free update in February, which brings with it the new Balloon World mini game.

The mini game becomes unlocked once you complete the main story, and can be started by talking to Luigi in the game.Balloon World feature two modes – ‘hide it’ or ‘find it’.In the former, players are given just 30 seconds to hide a balloon. While in ‘find it’ players have the same amount of time to find hidden balloons.The update will also bring with it new outfits for Mario and new filters for the snapshot mode.
The World Ends With You Final Remix

The Nintendo Switch will be getting a revamped version of Nintendo DS classic The World Ends With You.It will feature a new Joy-Con control system and a brand new epilogue that was not featured in the original game.Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Hyrule WarriorsTwo Wii U games – Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Hyrule Warriors – will be heading to the Nintendo Switch.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will feature a brand new brand-new beginner-friendly mode.
Pokken Tournament DXPokken Tournament DX will be getting two paid DLCs in the next few months.The first update, out on January 31, will bring with it the new battle Pokémon Aegislash and a new support set featuring Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu.While the second DLC, out on March 23, boasts Blastoise and a new support set featuring Mew and Celebi.

Kirby Star Allies

Kirby Star Allies is coming to Nintendo Switch on March 16 2018.

Kirby will receive a host of new abilities, like the Artist and Spider ability, in the upcoming title.

The trailer shown during the Nintendo Direct also gave a glimpse of the co-op mode that will surely be a big hit amongst fans.
SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy

The Nintendo Switch will be getting a brand new game from veteran Japanese developers SNK.

Following on from their recent King of Fighters title, SNK’s latest entry this generation is SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy.

Set to launch this summer, the 2v2 tag-team fighter will see special moves activated at the press of a single button.

It will feature female characters from the SNK universe, including classic 16-Bit fighting games the Japanese developer is renowned for.

Nintendo Direct 2018 – other Nintendo Switch games news

• Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle DLC pack three will be arriving in spring 2018, and brings with it a new character – Donkey Kong.

• PAYDAY 2 is coming to the Nintendo Switch on February 23 2018. You will be able to play with friends online or take part in local play.

• Indie gems Fe and Celeste will be hitting the Nintendo Switch. Fe is out on 16 February 2018 and Celeste will be released on January 25 2018.

• Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA will be heading to the Switch this summer. The JRPG has a look and feel that will surely appeal to fans of the recently released Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
